Construction of the Houses Has Begun

We fenced the plot, installed a security system, brought in work trailers and plenty of other infrastructure to be ready for construction. This came after years of lengthy procedures for land regulation and our street. Unfortunately, Bistritsa lacks proper infrastructure, as do many other places in our country, so we are also required to build a water supply line over 1,200 meters along the entire Izgled Street.

Construction of the Houses Has Begun

Site Preparation

Construction began with laying the foundations of the houses. This includes site preparation -- clearing and collecting the topsoil layer, building temporary roads for heavy transport, surveying the land, and excavating the large pits of 900 cubic meters each. With the rains and hailstorms in Sofia over recent weeks, all of this had to be squeezed into the few dry days. Next came the inspection and surveying of the excavations! Step by step, we organized the site to create a good environment, convenient for both work and visits. <br/>

Construction

The lean concrete has been poured! We had an ideal start, and now we're already tying the reinforcement for the foundations of house No. 3! The first 20 tons of rebar are on site and nearly complete. The house has been additionally reinforced structurally to support the rooftop photovoltaic panels that are designed to be installed on it. This naturally makes it much heavier, stronger, and more durable.

Next Steps

We continue with tying the reinforcement for house No. 1 and pouring the foundations of the first two houses next week! See you again in the next post!
